Marvin Thompson is from St. Louis, MO, and moved to Chicago in June 2011 following his matriculation from The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. After settling in Chicago, Marvin started his graduate studies in Human Resources Management and Development at National-Louis University, where he obtained his master’s degree in May 2013. Marvin has over 11 years of Human Resources/People and Culture experience and is committed to ensuring that all staff are well cared for. Marvin’s areas of expertise are employee relations, compensation & benefits, and professional development. Marvin’s hobbies include caring for his four godchildren, singing at church, and traveling the world. Marvin is currently the Director of People, Culture, & Operations at Brave Space Alliance, tying in his purpose (Social Work) and passion (Human Resources).
