Join the LGBTQ+ community in a Healing Circle honoring the lives of Devonta Vivetter, Donald Huey, and Jalen Ausley. It’s essential for our community to come together to heal after tragedies like this, so please join us as we honor these three individuals’ lives and discuss steps towards healing. This event will be at Rainbow Beach Field House (3111 E 77th Street) at 3 pm. Our “for-us-by-us” frame work allows us to not only meet folks where they are, but to allocate culturally affirming and competent resources to Chicago’s LGBTQ+ community. Being able to provide resource like our FREE barbershop, gender affirming rooms, protest and action support, vogue university, community pantry and much more allows our communities to THRIVE! We Need Your Help!

Brave Space Alliance was created to fill a gap in the organizing of and services to trans and gender-nonconforming people. Currently, very few LGBTQ social services or advocacy networks exist on the South and West Sides of Chicago. Furthermore, the few trans-specific resources in the city are located in majority-white neighborhoods on the North Side, which are inaccessible geographically, and also regularly result in the hyper-policing of trans people of color who attempt to access them.
